LibertyBus shortlisted for National Transport Awards 2016
On Thursday 13th October, LibertyBus will go head to head with the UK’s best transport providers at the National Transport Awards in London.
This is the first time that LibertyBus has been shortlisted for the prestigious awards, which this year had a record-breaking 365 entries from transport providers around the United Kingdom.
The two categories that LibertyBus has a shot to win are: Bus Operator of the Year, and Improvements to Bus Service. The awards ceremony takes place this Thursday at Park Plaza Westminster.
Kevin Hart, General Manager at LibertyBus said: ‘We are extremely happy to have been shortlisted for the NTA’s this year – the evening itself should be great fun, but it’d be the cherry on the cake to win. We’re up against seven other transport providers in Improvements to Bus Service, and another seven in Bus Operator of the Year, all of them are well known big transport providers. LibertyBus are the only social enterprise shortlisted, so we are very proud to even get this far. We might not have the budgets of other companies, but it goes to show that it takes more than money to offer a good service.’
The event starts at 7pm on Thursday 11th October at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, and results will be available on the National Transport Award website from Friday morning.
